Reflections from a visitor Paper writen by a student who visited the group.

Our goal is to support and educate people with bipolar disorder and depression.
We also provide support, hope, and insight to family and friends.

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) is peer-facilitated and focuses on self-empowerment through support and education on mood disorders.

The Greater Grand Rapids DBSA group has been supporting individuals for over 20 years. You are not alone; we’re here to help. We also participate in the annual Stomp Out Stigma Walk for Mental Health. This event strives to raise awareness about mental illness.

Nervous about coming to a meeting?

Join the club! I think everyone’s nervous the first time they come to a DBSA meeting.

You’re not alone, we’re here to help. It’s comforting knowing that others “get us."
